TweakMASTER

I uninstalled TweakMASTER and now my connection is really slow.

TweakMASTER Knowledge Base article KB0075

If TweakMASTER were run and things configured improperly because the wrong selections were made, it could indeed adversely affect connectivity. But those selections would be reversed in EVERY case if "Load Original settings" were used. The same thing would be true of uninstallation, UNLESS of course you used a third party uninstaller. That will NOT reverse the settings as it has removed the process from TweakMASTER's control.

In any case, your best bet now is to reinstall TweakMASTER and use the "Windows Defaults" settings on the Advanced Optimization screen. That will restore your system's settings to Windows Default. There is NO reported case where this has been reported to have failed. You cannot use "Load Original settings" as the record of those is gone upon uninstallation. Then reboot and see if your full connectivity is restored.

Be sure you are installing the latest version of TweakMASTER.

If this did not work, then your DSL provider has some proprietary requirements with registry settings... perhaps they provide some kind of setup disk or something, and you might need to re-run that. Either that or check with their support team and find out what settings are needed apart from Windows Default.

Now then, the other possibility once TweakMASTER is reinstalled is to try some of the proper settings for your system and see if that can help your speed. If restoring Windows Default resolved your problems, you are risking nothing to experiment further as Windows Default is always an option.

For some good tips to get you started here, see the "TCP/IP Parameters Tweaking Tips" in the "Getting Started" section of the TweakMASTER Help File, accessible from the Help Menu in the TweakMASTER program.
