How do I close TweakMASTER?TweakMASTER Knowledge Base article KB0108TweakMASTER can be minimized like any other Windows program... the simplest way is by clicking on the little "-" or "minus sign" up in the upper right hand corner of the TweakMASTER window. Also like any windows program, when open the program, you can minimize it by rightclicking on the TweakMASTER *button* on the main taskbar at the bottom of your screen and choose "Minimize" from the popup menu. Borth of these options will minimize it to the taskbar. However there is little reason to actually minimize TweakMASTER. You can simply leave it up and open if you are using it, and open another software window on top of it if you need to look at something else. When you are done with TweakMASTER, if you click the little "X" in the upper right hand corner of the TweakMASTER window, that will "Close" the program, but will leave its Agent running in the background with an icon in the Windows taskbar notification area (also known as the system tray) at the bottom right corner of your screen. Or use "Exit" from the main File Menu. TweakMASTER uses a little blue circular "wrench" icon for its Agent and is easy to recognize. You can reopen it simply by doubleclicking on that icon or choosing "Open TweakMASTER" from the rightclick menu. Be sure "Show TweakMASTER Agent Icon" is checked in the program options menu, and when you hit the "X" it will minimize to the system tray. If you uncheck that, then it will still be running in the background but will not show in the system tray. The lastest builds of TweakMASTER should have "Show Tray Icon" checked by default. As stated in the TweakMASTER help file: TweakMASTER will run at Windows startup. This is required to experience the benefits of functions like DNS Accelerator, Clock Synchronization auto updating or Keep Connected and for access to the full suite of TweakMASTER utilities. When you exit the main window, TweakMASTER Agent will still run in the background. It is designed to use minimal resources. However, if for some reason, you wish to exit TweakMASTER Agent completely, just use "Terminate" from the right-click menu of TweakMASTER Agent (located in the Windows taskbar notification area (also known as the system tray) at the bottom right corner of your screen. NOTE: this feature is only available once the software has been registered. Trial version users can indeed terminate the program in an emergency by holding down the "Ctrl" key while clicking on the TweakMASTER Agent icon. Exit function will be available then.
