Why do TweakMASTER prompts appear immediately after opening Internet Explorer?

TweakMASTER Knowledge Base article KB0127

TweakMASTER uses a certain Windows function to find out whether the computer is connected to the Internet or not. This is not a simple matter: consider for example the situation when your computer is connected to an ADSL home gateway and the DSL connection is down, but as far as the computer itself is concerned, everything is normal and it's connected. So, to eliminate these problems, in some cases Windows defaults to the "not connected mode", but as soon as Explorer is opened, and a web page is opened, then Windows is certain the computer is online. Then TweakMASTER can determine that the computer is online, and executes one of its functions that require Internet connectivity. Due to the way Windows works, there is really nothing to be done about this.
