- Several minor fixes and improvements.
September 4, 2009 :: What's new in TweakMASTER 3.02?
- DNS Accelerator now has a warning about false anti-spyware alarms regarding "hosts" file modifications.
- DNS Accelerator message about inability to access "hosts" file is better worded about Administrator rights.
- TweakMASTER PRO is updated with DU Meter 4.16.
August 8, 2009 :: What's new in TweakMASTER 3.0?
- Much broader support for modern operating systems and browsers: TweakMASTER
fully supports Windows Vista and Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bit), Windows Server
2008, Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Firefox 2.0 and 3.0 and more.
- Improved optimization strategies and new tweaks allow for much better
optimization of modern systems. Improvements up to 200% while browsing with
Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista SP1 are possible.
- DU Meter upgraded to DU
Meter 4.x in TweakMASTER PRO.
- Network Settings Analysis (new feature): uses advanced heuristics to analyze
computer's TCP/IP settings.
- Much improved Network Optimization Wizard: More settings are tweaked,
including Mozilla Firefox settings and Internet Explorer 8.0 (TweakMASTER
exclusive!). Added support for faster wireless standards like 802.11n.
- Reboot is no longer required in many cases (TweakMASTER can restart several network
components without rebooting).
- Fully rewritten Connection Throughput Measurement: tests not only download
speed, but upload speed and network latency too. Exclusive to TweakMASTER: user-
configurable number of simultaneous downloads and uploads, for more realistic
browsing activity simulation.
- HTML Report (new feature): Save currently active settings as HTML, along
with custom comments. This feature lets you keep history of changes for easier
and smarter tweaking.
- Network settings reset (new feature): Repair Internet connectivity which has
been botched by improper modifications made before TweakMASTER was installed. It
will automatically rebuild TCP/IP stack parameters in the registry to a known
good state.
- DNS client (new feature): Investigates connectivity problems, can
return both "concise" and verbose results, query any DNS server, send many types
of queries, works both in UDP and TCP mode.
- Connection Minder (new feature): TweakMASTER is able to execute
user-specified programs upon detection of an active Internet connection. This
feature is useful when you don't want programs to be started on Windows startup,
yet want them to be available when you connect to the Internet (MSN, ICQ, Skype,
etc.)
- Network Connection viewer has been updated to fully support Windows Vista
and Windows 7 (shows process name of the program that opened network connection,
much faster on computers with thousands of active connections).
- LinkFox now runs in "Protected Mode" just like Internet Explorer 7 and 8.
Therefore users are better protected against online threats while using LinkFox.
LinkFox has also been substantially updated to fully support Internet Explorer 7
and 8.
- Many other improvements and bug fixes.
